About the Founder, Lena Sabbagh

Lena SabbaghLena has over 20 years experience working with global and UK companies. After graduating from the University of Cambridge in 1986, with a BA (Hons) in Economics, Lena joined IBM as a Systems Engineer.

Six years later, steeped in IT but fascinated more by customers and markets, Lena joined a boutique marketing consultancy. Another 4 years on, after finding herself increasingly telling her clients that the only advantage their competitors can’t replicate is their people and culture, Lena joined Hay Group, the global people consultancy, in 1997. There she specialised in the diagnosis and solution of people issues affecting the ability of organisations to deliver their strategies*.

Echoing her belief in the pivotal role of talent in creating business success, her particular interest was in supporting decision making around executive appointments. Lena set up Zenobia Consulting in 2005. Her passion is for cutting through jargon and organisational fog to create practical, business focused solutions with an emphasis on people.

Lena's other passion is education, and she serves as a school governor at a local school.

About Zenobia people

"Lena is a professional of the highest quality who creates great teams that deliver beyond expectations"

Debs Gleeson, Director of Food Retail HR at the Cooperative Group

Zenobia people are handpicked for their expertise, their experience and the quality of their work. The consultants who work with us are 'seasoned' individuals with sound business experience as well as subject expertise. Most importantly they are committed to our work values. We believe in the power of great teams to create magic, so working with talented and energetic people who share our values is part of our raison d'être.

*We really don’t like jargon, but sometimes it can help – there are a number of common ways of labelling this activity e.g. Organisation Development (OD) or Organisation Effectiveness (OE).
